A new statement has been made regarding the health condition of historian and author Prof. Dr. İlber Ortaylı, who has been under treatment in intensive care for a while. Ortaylı's daughter, Tuna Ortaylı, stated that her father was intubated on Sunday and that his condition is stable.
A new statement has been made regarding the health status of Prof. Dr. İlber Ortaylı, one of Turkey's leading historians. It has been reported that Ortaylı, who has been receiving treatment in the hospital for a while, has been intubated in the intensive care unit and his health condition is stable.
In a statement made on Ortaylı's social media account with the title "Our prayers are with Professor İlber," it was expressed that the famous historian's treatment continues in the hospital and is being closely monitored under the supervision of doctors.
The statement included the following information regarding Ortaylı's health process:
"Prof. Dr. İlber Ortaylı underwent prostate surgery last January. After being discharged, he stayed in the hospital for a while longer for the treatment of issues related to this condition. He was then discharged again. Ortaylı, who is a diabetic and undergoes dialysis three days a week due to kidney issues, was also receiving immunotherapy related to his immune system."
HE WAS INTUBATED ON SUNDAY
After his ailments recurred last Thursday, Ortaylı was taken to Koç University Hospital, where it was stated that his treatment continued for a while while he was conscious, and he was later moved to the intensive care unit. The statement noted that as of Sunday, Ortaylı had been intubated and his treatment continues in the intensive care unit, with his condition being stable.
