Protests erupted following the funeral ceremony held in the city of Melikshah, Iran. While demonstrators set fire to 3 banks, security forces intervened, resulting in one person losing their life and two police officers being injured. The death toll in the protests, which began due to economic issues in the country, has reached 29.

THEY SET BANKS ON FIRE

According to Iran's semi-official Fars News Agency, a funeral ceremony was held at Imam Hussein Cemetery for the 2 individuals who lost their lives during the protests in Melikshah on Saturday. After the ceremony, a group of approximately 100 protesters set fire to 3 banks.

CASUALTIES ARE INCREASING

As the situation escalated, security forces intervened with the protesters. During the intervention, two police officers were injured, and one person lost their life.
