Famous writer Selen Işık Pınar, also known as Pucca, expressed her reaction to a 2454 TL phone bill by saying, "I don't even call or text anyone. I only use it for internet, what is this?"

Operators affected by the economic crisis have started demanding exorbitant amounts from users whose commitment period has expired in order to switch to a new package tariff. The issue quickly received reactions from thousands of users, and author Pucca protested against her bill.

Selen Işık Pınar, known as Pucca, protested against her 2454 TL phone bill by sharing it on her Instagram account, saying "I don't call or text anyone. I do everything through WhatsApp. I only use my phone for internet packages. 600 TL goes to applications. What is this?"

Thousands of citizens reacted to the price hikes by starting the hashtag #OperatorRobbery on X. Many users shared their bills and protested, and the hashtag quickly made it to the Turkish agenda.
