PUTIN IS FORMING AN ARMY MADE UP OF AFRICANS
After failing to achieve the expected results with North Korean soldiers fighting against Ukraine, Russian President Vladimir Putin has turned to other countries. Putin is establishing a new army of 100,000 fighters from African countries.
Meanwhile, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky shared a video on his social media account, providing information about the current situation of the ongoing conflicts in Russia's Kursk region. Zelensky stated, "I received a report from the General Staff regarding the situation in the Donetsk and Kursk regions. New attacks have been carried out in the areas where the Kursk Operation is being conducted. Russia has once again deployed North Korean soldiers alongside its troops. Hundreds of Russian soldiers and North Korean soldiers have been destroyed. This is very important because the conflicts on Russian territory are preventing further escalation towards our cities and lands. The 60,000 Russian soldiers in the Kursk region mean that there are 60,000 soldiers who cannot join the significant number of occupying forces currently in Pokrovsk and other directions in the Donetsk region. I am grateful to all our fighters for their resilience and the results they have achieved for each brigade," he said.
NORTH KOREAN SOLDIERS HAVE WITHDRAWN
In a statement made by the South Korean National Intelligence Service (NIS) on February 5, it was noted that the North Korean troops sent to Russia to fight against Ukraine had not participated in the conflicts in the Kursk region since mid-January. Ukrainian Special Forces Spokesman Colonel Oleksandr Kindratenko stated last week that the North Korean units sent by the regime had not been seen recently on the Kursk front, saying, "The presence of North Korean troops has not been observed for about 3 weeks. They likely had to withdraw after suffering heavy losses," he said.
According to a report by the British broadcaster BBC, based on Western officials, it is estimated that at least 1,000 of the 11,000 soldiers sent from North Korea have been killed. It is stated that North Korean soldiers are unprepared for modern warfare and are particularly vulnerable to unmanned aerial vehicles. Military experts express that the situation will be unsustainable if North Korea's casualties continue at this rate.
