The driver who ran over a motorcyclist he had an argument with in Pendik has been arrested, and his statement is shocking. The driver defended himself by saying, "In that moment of shock, I mixed up the gas and brake pedals and hit this person."
The driver who caused the injury of the motorcyclist by running over him after breaking the rearview mirror during a traffic dispute in Pendik was arrested for "attempted murder." In his statement, the driver said, "In the shock of the moment, I confused the gas and brake and hit this person."
THE DRIVER WHO RAN OVER THE MOTORCYCLIST DESCRIBED THE INCIDENT
The driver V.K., who hit the motorcyclist F.F. after breaking his rearview mirror during a traffic dispute in the Çamçeşme neighborhood, was taken to the police station. The suspect was sent to the Anadolu Courthouse under police escort. After being brought before the prosecutor, the suspect V.K. was referred to the duty magistrate for a request for arrest after his statement was taken.
"I CONFUSED THE GAS AND THE BRAKE"
In his statement to the prosecutor, the suspect V.K. claimed that there was a dispute between him and the complainant over yielding the right of way, and that during the argument, the complainant insulted and threatened him. He noted that citizens intervened and they continued on the same route. V.K. stated, "About 100 meters later, I saw two motorcyclists on my right and left. These people said, 'Get down, the taxi driver couldn't kill you, we will kill you.' I had not had any argument with these people. Later, the courier passed from the left side of the vehicle to the right and broke my right mirror. Then he jumped in front of my vehicle. In that moment of shock, I confused the gas and brake and hit this person."
HE WAS SENT TO PRISON
The suspect V.K. then recounted that a person named A.B. got out of a taxi and started punching him, stating: "The sole purpose of my action was to protect my property and personal safety. I believe that the taxi driver and the motorcyclists acted together. I do not accept the accusation against me. I am complaining about A.B., who insulted, threatened, and attacked me, as well as the person who broke my vehicle's mirror and the other motorcyclists who also insulted and threatened me. I have been a bipolar patient since I was 16-17 years old." The Anadolu Duty Peace Criminal Court decided to arrest the suspect V.K. for "attempted murder."
WHAT HAPPENED?
Yesterday in the Çamçeşme neighborhood, there was a traffic dispute between F.F., who was riding a motorcycle with the license plate 34 KYG 127, and the driver V.K. of the car with the license plate 34 EH 6467, who was traveling in the same direction. After the argument, the motorcyclist broke the rearview mirror of the car he passed by, and driver V.K. ran his car over the motorcyclist. The motorcyclist was injured after getting stuck between the car and a tow truck.
After the incident, while the injured was being treated in the hospital, V.K., who tried to escape with his car and damaged two more vehicles, was detained by the police.
