After the message of "Terror-Free Turkey" from MHP General Chairman Devlet Bahçeli, it has been learned that the talks between the DEM Party, the National Intelligence Organization, and İmralı have gained momentum. Following the second meeting of the DEM Party delegation with the PKK leader in İmralı, it was stated that discussions between security units and Abdullah Öcalan regarding 'the PKK's disarmament' have also accelerated.

"ALL OPTIONS HAVE BEEN LAID ON THE TABLE"

According to a report by Yücel Kayaoğlu from Türkiye Newspaper, Öcalan wrote a letter to the terrorist organization. While no explanation has been made regarding the content of the letter, it is being evaluated in the discussions between security units and Öcalan regarding the content of the call for disarmament, how it will be made, and whether it will be effective on the organization. Security sources stated, "These discussions are being conducted between the DEM delegation, Öcalan, and MIT. The method of making the call for disarmament, the expressions to be used, whether it will be verbal, written, or visual are being addressed. The effectiveness of these options is being evaluated. After reaching a certain point, steps will be taken regarding Öcalan's call."

"THE ISSUE OF AMNESTY HAS NOT BEEN OPENED TO DISCUSSION IN ANY WAY"

According to security sources, Öcalan does not allow the organization's impositions and believes, "I founded the organization, and I am disbanding it." It is stated that Öcalan has some demands in the discussions, but the issue of 'Amnesty' has not been opened to discussion in any way. In the corridors, it is noted that if the organization completely disarms, arrangements will be made for sick and elderly prisoners to complete their remaining sentences under house arrest. AK Party sources stated, "What needs to be done here is to lay down the arms. Then we will see if there is a deficiency. No steps can be taken without disarmament and seeing this concretely."

HOUSE ARREST FOR SICK PRISONERS

Justice Minister Yılmaz Tunç also reminded that they do not have an agenda regarding amnesty, stating, "For elderly sick individuals, prisoners over 65 years old, and prisoners over 70-80 years old, home confinement may be possible depending on the crimes they committed. There may be arrangements for individuals who cannot sustain their lives without the help of others."

MINISTER TUNÇ: NO BARGAINING

While evaluating the meetings with İmralı, Minister Tunç stated, "When this announcement (disarmament) will be made, whether it will be announced, and what its content will be is entirely up to the interlocutor. The interlocutor here is not the state. There is no bargaining here either. We will definitely not take a step that would hurt or upset the families of martyrs. This is not a bargaining process, a give-and-take process."

DEM'S MEETING TRAFFIC

On the other hand, the DEM delegation has not yet requested a third meeting with Öcalan. It is claimed that the delegation wants to discuss the 'legal framework of the process' with the AK Party before Öcalan makes a call for disarmament. In the corridors, it is mentioned that evaluations could be made with the AK Party regarding the Anti-Terror Law, the Penal Execution Law, as well as the trustee practices. It is also stated that the DEM delegation will meet with some NGOs and certain names from the wise people committee of the previous resolution process.

TÜRK: I WANT TO FULFILL MY LAST DUTY

It has been learned that Ahmet Türk, who is involved in the DEM Party delegation's meetings with political parties, told AK Party members, "My health is not good. Frankly, I want to fulfill my last duty to ensure peace before it gets worse."
