Russian President Vladimir Putin made his first statement following the assassination of Iranian religious leader Khamenei. In a phone call with Iranian President Pezeshkian, Putin stated, "It is a deliberate crime that violates all standards of human morality and international law."

The United States and Israel continued their attacks on Iran that began yesterday, while Iran's religious leader Ali Khamenei was killed in an attack on his residence.

40 DAYS OF MOURNING DECLARED
