This also breaks the previous record for the most valuable squad, which was held by Real Madrid with a squad value of 1.3 billion euros in 2020.

UEFA has shared the European Club Financing and Investment Report for 2024. Along with this report, the most expensive squad in football history has also been revealed.

THE VALUE OF 4 TEAMS EXCEEDS 1 BILLION EUROS

According to the shared report, the squad value of 4 clubs in Europe surpassed the 1 billion euro mark in 2024. These clubs are Chelsea, Manchester City, Manchester United, and Arsenal, which are part of the English Premier League. Additionally, regarding the size of salary budgets, 9 of the 20 most expensive clubs in 2024 are English teams.
