In the case within the scope of the corruption investigation against the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM), the court ruled for the release of 15 detained suspects, including Emrah Yüksel, İsmet Korkmaz, Mehmet Çağlar Kuru, Ulaş Yılmaz, Yusuf Utku Şahin, Çağlar Türkmen, Adem Soytekin, Seyhan Özcan, Nuri Cem Ceylan, Esma Bayrak, Murat Keleş, Fatih Özçelik, İsmail Akkaya, Harun Cengiz Beğenmez, and Mehmet Kaya.
NO BRIBERY ALLEGATIONS
In the court's evaluation, it was stated that none of the released suspects faced bribery allegations, and these individuals were not among the public officials or municipal bureaucrats involved in the bribery network.
On the other hand, it was noted that suspect Adem Soytekin repeated his statements under the provisions of effective remorse before the court, provided useful information about the organization's structure, and his adherence to his previous testimonies played a role in the release decision.
INDIVIDUAL STATUS OF THE SUSPECTS
In evaluations of the suspects' individual status, it was stated that most were only associated with a single act. It was noted that Fatih Özçelik was also a tender commission member within the scope of a single act, while İsmail Akkaya and Seyhan Özcan's testimonies regarding the consolidated Beyoğlu indictment remained limited.
