WHAT HAPPENED?

Enver Aysever was detained at his home in Istanbul due to his remarks in a video he shared on his YouTube account, where he stated, "Being right-wing is a crime. When you are right-wing, you become immoral or your morality becomes immorality. Being leftist is a primary condition of being human," following criticisms of Hasan İmamoğlu, the father of Ekrem İmamoğlu, who is detained as part of a corruption investigation.

Aysever's lawyer argued that his client was expressing criticism within the scope of freedom of thought.

Journalist and television presenter Enver Aysever was born in Istanbul in 1971. Graduating from the Sociology Department of Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University, Aysever has taught courses at various universities. His writings have also been published in various newspapers and magazines.
