Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic announced at a massive rally in Belgrade that he will resign from his post within a few weeks and will announce the date for early elections soon.

“NOTHING LASTS FOREVER, NOR SHOULD IT”
Vucic attended a rally organized by the ruling Serbian Progressive Party (SNS), of which he was once chairman, in the capital Belgrade under the slogan "Serbia-One Family."
Addressing the crowd gathered in front of the Serbian National Assembly, Vucic said, "I will continue my duty as President for a few more weeks, then I resign. Nothing lasts forever, nor should it. Thank you all."
Vucic also stated that he will announce the date of early elections soon, and expressed that the list he will be part of in the election should be named "United Serbia."
MESSAGE ON CHINA AND RUSSIA
Vucic, emphasizing the importance of maintaining Serbia's military neutrality, conveyed the message that relations based on traditional friendship with China and Russia should continue.
Vucic expressed his wish for his country to progress more quickly in its European Union (EU) membership process.
