The DEM Party has responded to claims regarding a planned name change and a comprehensive transformation of the management team within the scope of the "Terror-Free Turkey" process. The party stated that the news in question does not reflect the truth.
There have been claims in some media outlets that the DEM Party will change its name, with the expression "Democratic Republic" included in the new name, that component structures will be closed, and that co-chairs will be changed. It was suggested in the news that Co-Chair Tuncer Bakırhan would continue in his position, but there would be a renewal in the staff.
"NO EVALUATION WAS MADE IN THE COMPETENT BODIES"
In the information note shared by the DEM Party, it was stated that these claims had not been brought up in the party's organs. The statement included, "Today, there have been news in some media outlets that our party will change its name, and that our component law and co-chairs will change. No evaluation or discussion has been made in the competent bodies of our party regarding these news."
