News.com.tr ranked among Turkey's top 10 most preferred media outlets in the 2026 Digital News Report prepared by the Reuters Institute in collaboration with the University of Oxford.
The Oxford University Reuters Institute for the Study of Journalism has published its traditional Digital News Report for 2026. According to the Turkey report, while the consumption of news from television and print media continues to decline in the long term, online news consumption maintains its dominance. The report also stated that the use of AI-powered chatbots increased by 6%, reaching 14%.
TURKEY FOLLOWS NEWS FROM INTERNET SITES
In Turkey, users most prefer online platforms as their news source, with TV ranked second, and social media placed third. Print media, however, saw a significant drop compared to last year, remaining in last place.
TRUST IN NEWS IN TURKEY AT 28 PERCENT
The report, which found trust in news in Turkey at 28 percent, measured the global average at 37 percent.
HABERLER.COM IN 7TH PLACE
According to the results of the research conducted by the Reuters Institute for the Study of Journalism with approximately 100,000 people in 48 countries, Haberler.com ranked among the top most visited news sites in Turkey. In the list based on weekly reach, Haberler.com managed to secure the 7th spot.
SON DAKIKA.COM AT THE TOP
In the report ranking Turkey's most visited news sites, Sondakika.com took the top spot with a preference rate of 27%.
