THE OPPOSITION DID NOT PARTICIPATE IN THE VOTE
Meanwhile, the opposition, which opposed the US request, interrupted the speeches in the parliament by whistling and blowing whistles. George Simion, the leader of the Alliance for the Union of Romanians (AUR), stated that they would not vote on the request that would lead Romania to war.
President Nicuor Dan, in a statement made in the morning, noted that the US request was for defensive purposes and that Romanian citizens should not be worried.
