Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian announced the conditions for a ceasefire with the United States. Pezeshkian stated, "The only way to end the war that began with the war-mongering of the Zionist regime and America is the recognition of Iran's undeniable rights, the payment of compensation to Iran, and the commitment to a binding international obligation to prevent the recurrence of their aggressions."
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian announced Iran's fundamental conditions to end the tension with the USA and Israel. Pezeshkian, who argued that the responsibility for the conflicts in the region lies with the "war mongering" USA and Israel, emphasized that Iran's international rights must be recognized for a lasting ceasefire.
PEZESHKIAN'S 3 CONDITIONS
Pezeshkian stated, "The only way to end the war initiated by the Zionist regime and America's war mongering is to accept Iran's indisputable rights, to pay compensation to Iran, and to enter into a binding international obligation to prevent the recurrence of their aggressions."
TRUMP: I CAN TALK TO IRAN
On the other hand, a striking statement had recently come from US President Donald Trump. Speaking to Fox News, Trump opened the door to the possibility of talks with Iran, saying, "Iran wants to talk very badly. Talking is possible under conditions. We don't have to talk anymore, you know. But it's possible."
IRAN'S CEASEFIRE MESSAGE: WE ARE NOT SEEKING IT
Following these statements and attempts for contact from the US side, a harsh statement came from Iran. Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqir Qalibaf stated that his country is not seeking a ceasefire.
Qalibaf said, "We are definitely not seeking a ceasefire; we believe that the aggressor should be punched in the mouth so that he learns his lesson and never thinks of attacking our beloved Iran again."
Targeting Israel as well, Qalibaf stated, "The Zionist regime continues the cycle of 'war-negotiation-ceasefire and then war again' to consolidate its sovereignty. We will break this cycle."
US-ISRAEL ATTACKS ON IRAN
While negotiations between Tehran and Washington continue, Israel and the USA launched a military attack on Iran on February 28.
Iran responded with attacks on targets it identified in several regional countries, including Qatar, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and Bahrain, where US bases are located, in addition to Israel.
In the US-Israel attacks, Iranian leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, along with many high-ranking officials, was killed.
According to Iranian officials, 1,332 people lost their lives in the US-Israel attacks.
