Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that since U.S. President Donald Trump's energy ceasefire announcement, Ukraine has not struck Russian energy facilities, while Russia has attacked 19 regions of the country in two days. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported that after US President Donald Trump's announcement of an energy ceasefire, Ukraine has not struck Russian energy facilities, but Russia has continued attacking 19 regions in 2 days.

BUILDING COLLAPSED IN KHARKIV, 5 BALLISTIC MISSILES AT KYIV

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, in a post on his social media account, stated that since yesterday evening Russia has been attacking Ukraine with drones and ballistic missiles. Noting that a significant part of the attacks were destroyed, Zelenskyy said that a residential building was destroyed in Kharkiv, that 4 people lost their lives and 41 people were injured in search and rescue operations that lasted throughout the night. Referring to the ballistic missile attack on the capital Kyiv, Zelenskyy said, "A vile attack was carried out on Kyiv with 5 ballistic missiles targeting civilian infrastructure. Unfortunately, we did not receive an early warning about this attack from our partners. Intelligence regarding Russian ballistic missile launches helps save lives and this is one of the most critical issues. What prevents people from losing their lives is early warning about ballistic missiles."

RUSSIA CONTINUED ITS ATTACKS

Referring to US President Donald Trump's declaration of an energy ceasefire, Zelenskyy continued his statement as follows:

"Ukraine has not carried out attacks on Russian oil refineries or the energy sector in general during the 2 days since the US President announced the energy ceasefire. However, Russia did not listen to the US President. During this time, the Russians attacked both our energy facilities and our critical infrastructure, sending extremely clear signals that they have no intention of abandoning attacks on Ukraine. In just these 2 days, 19 regions of our country were attacked. Our position has not changed: Ukraine is ready for reciprocal steps to reduce tensions, and effective pressure must be exerted on Russia to de-escalate. Wars end when the aggressor understands that it cannot prolong the war."

Emphasizing that global pressure on Russia would bring peace closer, Zelenskyy said, "Global pressure on Russia contributes to bringing peace closer. However, providing direct or indirect support to Russia, slowing down aid to Ukraine and making it harder to ensure safety against ballistic missiles will definitely not help bring peace. Everyone needs peace. A strong America, a strong Europe and strong partners are needed."
