Russia has fined Zoom and Pinterest a total of 27 million rubles for not localizing user data in the country. The court ruled that Zoom must pay 15 million rubles, while Pinterest is required to pay 12 million rubles.

RECORD FINE FOR ZOOM AND PINTEREST IN RUSSIA
The lawsuit against Zoom and Pinterest was heard in the capital, Moscow. The court concluded that the platforms did not comply with the laws due to the failure to localize user data in Russia, ruling that Zoom must pay a fine of 15 million rubles and Pinterest 12 million rubles.
In the country, in addition to Zoom and Pinterest, various foreign platforms such as Twitch, WhatsApp, Spotify, and LinkedIn have also been fined for not localizing user data.
