The Russian Ministry of Defense announced that communication was lost with an An-26 military transport aircraft over Crimea, and the fate of the crew and soldiers is unknown.

SEARCH AND RESCUE OPERATIONS HAVE BEEN INITIATED 

While no official statement has been made regarding the fate of the crew, search and rescue teams have been dispatched to the area where the incident is suspected to have occurred.

It was claimed that the aircraft was carrying 30 military personnel.

According to a report by the TASS agency, the Russian Ministry of Defense stated, "On March 31, at approximately 18:00 Moscow time, contact was lost with an An-26 military transport aircraft during a planned flight over the Crimean Peninsula. There was no damage to the aircraft."
