The Minister of Family and Social Services, Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş, stated that they will pay the monthly pensions for the elderly and disabled for February with an increase following the adjustment in the January civil servant salary coefficient, saying, "In this context, we have started to deposit a total of 9.7 billion lira, consisting of approximately 5.4 billion lira for elderly pensions and approximately 4.3 billion lira for disabled pensions, into the accounts for February."
Minister Göktaş stated in a written statement that they are working to ensure the full participation of disabled and elderly individuals in all areas of life and to support them in leading independent lives.
Göktaş conveyed that they stand by elderly and disabled citizens in every area, from education to health, and from the economy to social life, emphasizing that they carry out services within the framework of human-centered and rights-based policies.
Noting that they continue to develop inclusive and regular social assistance programs for disabled and elderly citizens, Göktaş used the following expressions:
"We will pay the disability pensions for February with an increase following the adjustment in the January civil servant salary coefficient. In this regard, we have started to deposit a total of 9.7 billion lira, consisting of approximately 5.4 billion lira for elderly pensions and approximately 4.3 billion lira for disability pensions, into the accounts for February. I wish that the payments will be beneficial for all our citizens."
