Following U.S. President Trump's statement that "military operations will resume if Hamas does not do what is necessary," a scandalous move came from Israel. Israeli Defense Minister Yisrael Katz instructed the army to prepare a "comprehensive plan" against Hamas in the event of a ceasefire violation in Gaza.
According to reports in the Israeli press, Katz held a meeting with Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir and senior generals.
The Israeli Defense Minister instructed the army to prepare a plan for "the complete defeat of Hamas in case Hamas abandons the ceasefire plan and attacks resume."
"WE WILL START ATTACKS UNDER US COORDINATION"
Katz stated that President Donald Trump's plan for Gaza includes the disarmament of Gaza, and expressed that Israel would take action to destroy the tunnels in Gaza in cooperation with the international forces led by the US. Katz said that if Hamas refuses to implement the agreement, Israel will resume attacks under US coordination.
TRUMP HAD THREATENED
US President Donald Trump, who threatened Hamas for not returning Israeli hostages' bodies, made a statement that would escalate tensions. Trump said, "If Hamas does not do what is necessary, military operations will resume, and Israel can return to Gaza at my command."
CEASEFIRE AND PRISONER EXCHANGE AGREEMENT IN GAZA
US President Donald Trump announced on October 9 that Israel and Hamas had approved the first phase of the ceasefire plan in Gaza during ongoing negotiations in Egypt.
While the agreement was signed in Egypt where the negotiations took place, it came into effect on October 10 with the approval of the Israeli government.
It was announced that the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip came into effect at 12:00 on the same day after the Israeli army withdrew to the "Yellow Line" as specified in the agreement.
