A cow's horrific attack on a child playing on the street in New Delhi caused panic in the neighborhood. Nearby residents intervened at the last moment to rescue the child. The injured child's health condition is good, and treatment is ongoing.

The horrific incident in India's capital, New Delhi, has once again brought the stray animal problem to the forefront. A small child playing on the street suddenly became the target of an aggressive cow. Footage captured on security cameras recorded moment by moment the angry animal throwing the child to the ground and hitting him repeatedly with its horns.

The incident occurred on Friday in the Tughlakabad area of New Delhi. The small child, playing with friends on the street, was suddenly attacked by a stray cow wandering nearby. The footage shows the animal first chasing the child, then knocking him to the ground with a hard blow.

As the small child lay on the ground in fear, waiting for help, the aggressive cow continued to attack repeatedly with its horns. The moments when the child's slippers flew into the air caused great panic in the neighborhood.

Residents Intervened at the Last Moment

Hearing the child's screams, nearby residents rushed to help without wasting time. One citizen providing first aid tried to distract the animal using a slipper found on the ground. Taking advantage of the cow's brief pause, the man picked up the injured child and attempted to carry him to a safe area.

Meanwhile, another cow on the street joined the aggressive animal. The two cattle began chasing the man trying to rescue the child. As he tried to flee, the citizen lost his balance and fell, shielding the small child with his own body to protect him from potential blows.

When other residents arrived at the scene and managed to drive the animals away with stones and sticks, a greater tragedy was prevented.

According to local media reports, the child injured in the attack was taken to the hospital by ambulance. It was announced that the child, who had injuries to various parts of his body, was receiving treatment but was not in life-threatening condition.

Doctors stated that the small child was being kept under observation and his health condition was improving.

Following the incident, municipal teams captured the two cows involved in the attack and took them to an animal care center housing stray cattle.

Authorities acknowledged that stray animals, which have increased uncontrollably in New Delhi in recent years, have become a serious security issue.

In a statement from the municipality, it was noted that dairy farms operating illegally in particular have increased the number of cattle released onto the streets, and it was reported that inspections of these facilities would be tightened, and heavy penalties would be imposed on those who do not comply with the rules.
