Sedat Peker: Afghans and Syrians will wipe out Turkish groups from the market, this is a very big danger.

The fugitive crime organization leader Sedat Peker, who drew attention with his statements regarding the Köfteci Yusuf incident, where the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry detected the use of pork, made striking remarks to the Sözcü newspaper about recent events in Turkey.

"CARTELS DON'T KILL PEOPLE THEMSELVES"

Peker stated that he had predicted today's events years ago to those close to him, saying, "This psychology is not unique to Turkey. I am not making sociological observations as the smartest person in the world. The same thing happened in Brazil. There, power from large criminal families shifted to other structures. It also happened in Mexico and Colombia. Cartels do not kill people themselves. Turkey is actually very dangerous; there is something more that will happen. The state needs to take precautions here. What happened in Brazil, Mexico, and Colombia is the same; 'bad human nature' is the same everywhere, it does not change. It will also happen in Turkey," he said.

"BE CAREFUL OF THE GRAND BAZAAR"

Noting that methamphetamine-type pills are now produced in Turkey, crime organization leader Sedat Peker evaluated the increasing drug use in our country as follows: "MET production does not require large production sites like heroin. A 60 square meter apartment is sufficient for MET production. The heavy smell produced during heroin production does not have the same intensity when methamphetamine is produced, so it does not attract people's attention. Previously, it was coming from Iran and Southeast Asian countries. This means transportation costs and paying off the people they seduced at customs, which increases the cost. Now, a person produces it in Turkey and sells it here. They only import the chemical substances from abroad. Another very dangerous thing is that previously, when Syrians came to Turkey, they were distributing one or two-gram packages as the lower tier of dealers. In other words, the dealers did not take risks and kept them. Later, those foreigners became dealers. After learning the business better from dealing, they rose to a position where they distribute to regions. Now, many of the candidates for MET laboratories are these individuals. Additionally, gold smuggling is also significant. I am not saying this to defame Syrians; I am just making an observation: It is seen that Syrian and Afghan groups have taken control of fifty percent of the smuggled gold entry-exit in the Grand Bazaar.

"THOSE COMING TO TURKEY ARE TRANSFERRING DRUG MONEY"

Those coming to Turkey have also taken over the system of sending money abroad to their relatives. They have reached a level where they can transfer drug money and launder money. Turkish groups can be easily caught by the police. However, since Syrian groups are closed off, it is not very possible for them to provide information to the police or for the police to infiltrate their operations. In other words, in criminal groups, after 6-7 years, Afghans and Syrians will eliminate a significant portion of Turkish groups from the market.
