Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic issued a dire warning regarding Iran's potential closure of the Strait of Hormuz. Vucic stated, "The oil prices will kill us all. Europe will fall into hell due to the closure of the Strait of Hormuz."

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic issued a stern warning that the escalating tensions in the Middle East could shake global energy markets. Evaluating Iran's decision to close the Strait of Hormuz, Vucic argued that this situation would lead to a massive increase in oil prices and that these costs would "kill" all countries economically.

"OIL PRICES WILL KILL US ALL"

Stating that the closure of the Strait of Hormuz would be a disaster for the European economy, Vucic said, "Oil prices will kill us all. Europe will fall into hell due to the closure of the Strait of Hormuz."

He pointed out that a blockage in the strait, which is the most critical transit point for oil shipments in the world, would not only trigger an energy crisis but also push global inflation to an uncontrollable level.

IRAN HAD CLOSED THE STRAIT OF HORMUZ

Brigadier General Ibrahim Jabbari, advisor to the Commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, stated that they had closed the Strait of Hormuz to transit and would attack ships attempting to pass.

Speaking on Iranian state television, Jabbari said they would not allow transit through the Strait of Hormuz in response to the attacks from the US and Israel.

Brigadier General Jabbari used the following expressions: "The Strait of Hormuz is closed. We will attack and set fire to every ship attempting to pass. (Ships attempting to pass) will be burned by our heroes in the Revolutionary Guard Navy and Ground Forces.

Do not come to this region. The price of oil has reached 82 dollars, and the world is definitely expecting it to reach at least 200 dollars. We will also attack oil pipelines and will not allow a single drop of oil to leave the region."

THE IMPORTANCE OF THE STRAIT OF HORMUZ

The Strait of Hormuz is considered the most critical and sensitive "jugular vein" of global energy security; approximately one-third of the oil transported by sea in the world and a significant portion of liquefied natural gas (LNG) passes through this narrow waterway. Located between Oman and Iran, this strait, which has a narrowest point of about 33 kilometers, is a challenging alternative that connects the major oil producers in the Persian Gulf to the open seas.

Even the possibility of the strait being closed during periods of escalating regional tensions causes a wave of panic in global energy markets and rapidly rising prices, making control and navigation security over Hormuz a geopolitical issue that directly affects not only the countries in the region but the entire world economy.
