The hearing at the Istanbul 56th Criminal Court of First Instance was attended by the complainant Sevcan Orhan and her lawyers. ŞEVVAL SAM: HE TREATED ME LIKE A FOOL

During the hearing, witness Şevval Sam stated that she had worked with the defendant Belenkoğulları for about 8-9 years in the past and mentioned that she facilitated Sevcan Orhan's collaboration with him because she was close to him. She used the following expressions: "If we artists understood a little about money, we probably wouldn't work with a manager. Due to the trust established with the manager and the workload, I had given my signature authority and credit card passwords. He had started to manage everything personally. In places I didn't understand, he would treat me like a fool or cut off my questioning by asking, 'Don't you trust me?'

"IT HAD GONE AS FAR AS A KNIFE PULLING"

In fact, one day I heard a rumor that 'Harun and this person are devouring Şevval's money', and I started to investigate. I had identified nearly 2 million in discrepancies when I questioned it, and the situation had escalated. However, I did not file a complaint because I had a friend like Sevcan, who is also the spouse of my closest friend. While I was in the process of severing ties with the defendant, they were in the process of reaching an agreement with Sevcan. Sevcan realized this situation sooner than I did. This was a great lesson for me. Now I follow everything myself."

SEVCAN ORHAN: I HAVE DEDICATED MYSELF TO THIS PATH

Complainant Sevcan Orhan stated, "I have been doing this job for 25 years. Right now, whether it's Şevval or me, I feel ashamed to be in front of you like this. I trust you, I have dedicated myself to this path. I am complaining about the defendant."

The defendant's lawyer requested time to make a statement against the witness testimonies. The court, announcing its interim decision, ruled to address the missing issues and adjourned the hearing.

"WE DO NOT WANT OTHERS TO GAIN UNLAWFUL PROFITS"

After the hearing, Sevcan Orhan made a statement in front of the courthouse, saying, "I have proven that the unlawful profits were obtained by the mentioned Harun Belenkoğulları, and we are here to legally prove this. Şevval Sam actually told things inside that I understood very well. Unfortunately, we have some grievances, especially because we are women. Unlawful profits were obtained from us, and we have to prove it legally. As I promised, I am here today. Four to five years have passed, but we will not give up on our legal efforts. Therefore, thank you, the reason I share this with you is that I burned, may others not burn. Because this person is still continuing to work in this community. We do not want others to gain unlawful profits. Şevval had given up, saying, 'I leave it to God,' but I could not. My conscience did not allow me. Today, through me, Şevval was given the right to speak. We are not afraid; we trust the law. In the end, whether I win or lose, I am very happy to have fought this battle."

FROM THE INDICTMENT

In the indictment prepared by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, it was stated that the suspect Harun Belenkoğulları used the service fees he received on behalf of the complainant Sevcan Orhan contrary to their verbal agreement, for his own or someone else's benefit, and disposed of the property outside the purpose of the transfer of possession. In the prepared indictment, it was requested that the suspect Harun Belenkoğulları be sentenced to imprisonment for a term of 1 to 7 years for the crime of 'misuse of duty due to service.'
