Murat Çağlayan, who fell off his motorcycle after crashing into a median in Bursa, and his wife Gülcan Çağlayan, died in the hospital where they were taken. It was learned that the couple had been childhood sweethearts and had been married for 7 years.
In Bursa, it was learned that Murat Çağlayan (34), who lost his life after falling from a motorcycle that crashed into the median, and his wife Gülcan Çağlayan (33) were childhood sweethearts. It was stated that Gülcan Çağlayan, a mother of 2 children, had been married to Murat Çağlayan for 7 years.
The accident occurred on February 16 at around 11:30 PM in the Dikkaldırım neighborhood of Osmangazi district on Hayran Street. The motorcycle, which Murat Çağlayan lost control of, crashed into the median. As the motorcycle skidded and was dragged for meters, both the driver and his wife Gülcan Çağlayan, who was behind him, were injured. Health and police teams were dispatched to the area upon notification. The injured were taken to Çekirge State Hospital after the first intervention by health officials. Despite the doctors' intervention, the Çağlayan couple could not be saved.
WILL BE BURIED IN HIS HOMETOWN
The motorcycle driver Murat Çağlayan was buried in Pınarbaşı Cemetery after the funeral prayer held at Maksem Mosque yesterday at the time of the afternoon prayer. The funeral of his wife Gülcan Çağlayan was taken to her hometown Söke in Aydın after the procedures at the Bursa Forensic Medicine Institution. It was stated that Gülcan Çağlayan had 2 children named Emine (16) and Mustafa (13) from her first marriage, and therefore she would be sent off on her final journey in Söke, where her family resides. It was noted that Gülcan Çağlayan, who worked in the children's park at Atatürk Urban Forest, married her childhood sweetheart Murat Çağlayan after separating from her first husband. It was stated that Murat Çağlayan, who worked as a horse caretaker in Atatürk Urban Forest, and Gülcan Çağlayan had been married for 7 years.
