In the Madaan district of Raqqa province in Syria, violent clashes erupted after the PKK/YPG terrorist organization launched an attack on the positions of the Syrian army in the areas it occupies. It was reported that Syrian army soldiers lost their lives in the clashes.
According to a report by Syria's official television channel El-İhbariyye, the terrorist organization PKK/YPG, which uses the name SDF in Syria, attacked Syrian army positions in the Madaan district of eastern Raqqa.
LOSSES IN THE SYRIAN ARMY
Following the attack, intense clashes erupted, and the Syrian army responded to the PKK/YPG positions with artillery fire. According to local sources, several soldiers belonging to the Syrian army were killed in the organization's attack.
YPG HAD ATTACKED BEFORE
According to sources from the Syrian government, the YPG had also carried out a missile attack on a military base near the Tishrin Dam in eastern Aleppo on October 29. It was reported that two Syrian soldiers were killed in the attack, and one soldier was seriously injured.
A CEASEFIRE AGREEMENT HAD BEEN MADE
Syria's Defense Minister Murhef Ebu Kasra announced on November 7 that they had met with SDF Commander Mazlum Abdi in Damascus. Minister Kasra declared that they had reached a general ceasefire agreement for the northeastern regions of Syria during the meeting.
