Seventeen-year-old İremnur Ç. called on the public, claiming that her older brother had sexually assaulted her. The young girl stated that she was living in fear due to her brother's threats, despite him being previously arrested and acquitted in the last trial. She said her safety was at risk. Claiming that her brother used substances and had a tendency towards violence, the young girl requested help from the authorities, arguing that justice had not been served despite the two-year-long legal process.
17-year-old İremnur Ç., who claims to have been abused by her older brother, addressed the public through a post on social media. The young girl expressed her concern for her safety, stating that a verdict of acquittal had been issued for her brother, who had previously been subject to an arrest warrant.
"DID I HAVE TO DIE?"
İremnur Ç., who said that her parents are separated but their sibling bond has not restricted their meetings, reported that she learned of the acquittal decision today, following the arrest warrant issued three months ago. İremnur Ç. stated, "When I heard the acquittal decision, I just said, 'Did I have to die? Or did he have to commit rape?'"
The young girl, who does not find the court's decision fair, mentioned that she felt the need to share a video after the verdict.
"IF SOMETHING HAPPENS TO ME, KNOW THIS"
İremnur Ç., who claims that her brother uses substances and has been violent, argued that the decision could encourage the other party. Stating that she has been waiting for the outcome of the judicial process for two years, İremnur Ç. expressed that her silence on social media until now was due to her trust in the court.
"I am very afraid of him harming my brother, of him harming me. Please help. If something happens to me or us, call for our rights," İremnur Ç. called out to the authorities and the public.
