EVERYTHING STARTED WITH HER FATHER'S WILL
Stating that she stepped into the muhtar role at the request of her father Basri Özkaya, Arzu Nisan shared her emotional journey during the candidacy process with these words: "When a woman's photo was hung as a muhtar candidate for the first time in Doğançay's history, my father said he was proud of me. Although I told him I couldn't be a muhtar, he wanted me to promise him just before he passed away. Four minutes after this conversation, he died of a brain hemorrhage. I had both spoken to him for the last time and made a promise to become a muhtar. Now, at the end of every task, I visit his grave and feel the peace of keeping my promise."
NATURAL GAS AND INFRASTRUCTURE INVESTMENTS APPROVED
Expressing that she focused on major projects in her second term with the experiences gained in her first term, Nisan stated that the promise of natural gas given to the neighborhood residents has been fulfilled. Noting that the natural gas project was approved after the completion of financial processes, Nisan also reported that the petitions collected for the lack of ATMs in the neighborhood are in the approval process, and the spring water project has reached the network connection stage.
CRITICAL INTERVENTION IN THE FIRE DISASTER
Recalling that she took an active role during the major fire disaster in the region, Muhtar Nisan said, "I stayed in the fire area for 13 hours. When the flames approached the settlement, I ensured the evacuation of the neighborhood with a single message. My citizens trusted me and evacuated Doğançay."
"MOBILE MUHTAR" SERVES WITH ELECTRIC SCOOTER
Describing herself as the 'Mobile Muhtar,' Arzu Nisan effectively uses her electric scooter for neighborhood services. Stating that she rushes to help in every area from paperwork to transporting patients to health centers, and carrying students stranded in the rain, Nisan expressed that she actively uses communication channels and social media to inform citizens.

Neighborhood resident Emine Tosun expressed their satisfaction with the Eastern martial arts and sewing courses opened by Muhtar Nisan, stating that they can reach the muhtar whenever they need. Another neighborhood resident, Musa Yılmaz, said, "Our muhtar is someone who enters and exits coffeehouses, completely integrated with the people. She delivered the necessary documents for the natural gas process to us, and soon natural gas will come to our neighborhood. We are very pleased with her efforts."
