D.O., a Kyrgyzstani national living in Istanbul, came to the house of her husband A.U., who is in the process of divorce, with their baby M.A.U., for whom she has temporary custody. It was claimed that the couple, who stayed in the same house for a while, had arguments from time to time, during which D.O. allegedly inflicted violence on the baby. Following the complaint, an investigation was initiated under the coordination of the Bodrum Chief Public Prosecutor's Office. The police detained D.O. on the same day. A medical report for the assault was obtained for M.A.U., and she was temporarily handed over to her father A.U.

Upon the instruction of the Bodrum Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, a mental health report was requested for the mother.
