The procedures of 36 suspects who were detained as part of four separate corruption investigations targeting municipalities governed by the CHP have been completed at the prosecutor's office. Out of the 30 individuals referred to the court, 22 people, including Hasan Akgün, the Mayor of Büyükçekmece, Hakan Bahçetepe, the Mayor of Gaziosmanpaşa, Utku Caner Çaykara, the Mayor of Avcılar, and former CHP MP Aykut Erdoğdu, were arrested.
36 individuals, whose processing was completed at the police station as part of four separate 'Corruption' investigations against the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, were brought to Bayrampaşa State Hospital early yesterday morning. The suspects, who underwent a health check at the hospital, were transferred to the Istanbul Courthouse in Çağlayan by riot police buses.
INTERROGATION PROCEEDINGS CONTINUE
On the other hand, the interrogation proceedings of the suspects, including mayors and deputy mayors, who were transferred to the Istanbul Courthouse in Çağlayan, began at 10:00 AM.
THEY WERE TRANSFERRED WITH A REQUEST FOR ARREST
Those whose statements were taken by the prosecutor include Büyükçekmece Mayor Hasan Akgün, Gaziosmanpaşa Mayor Hakan Bahçetepe, Avcılar Mayor Utku Caner Çaykara, Adana Ceyhan Mayor Kadir Aydar, Adana Seyhan Mayor Oya Tekin, his wife Celal Tekin, İBB Deputy Secretary General Erdal Celal Aksoy, İBB Ağaç A.Ş. General Manager Ali Sukas, ISFALT General Manager Burak Korzay, former CHP Member of Parliament Aykut Erdoğdu, Beylikdüzü Deputy Mayor Veysel Erçevik, assistant to the Mayor of Beylikdüzü Gürkan Polat, Büyükçekmece Deputy Mayor Ömer Kazancı, Büyükçekmece Deputy Mayor Rıza Can Özdemir, Avcılar Deputy Mayor Erhan Daka, Avcılar Deputy Mayor Mehmet Mandacı, CHP Party Council Member Baki Aydöner, advisor to MP Özgür Karabat, Sırrı Küçük, worker Can Zafer Yaman from Osmaniye Kadirli Municipality, trainers Şazime Sena Çelik, Görkem Kızılayak from Beşiktaş Municipality, and the partners, authorized persons, and employees of the companies mentioned in the investigation, Ebubekir Akın, Gürkan Dölekli, Özer Ayık, Yusuf Yadoğlu, Fikri Demir, Songül Demir, İsmet Abacı, Hakan Ateş, and İsmail Yalçın were transferred to the on-duty magistrate's court with a request for arrest.
REQUEST FOR JUDICIAL CONTROL FOR 6 SUSPECTS
The suspects named Bektaş Y., Caner V., Fahri A., Fatih Y., Ozan İ., and Halil S., who were detained in the operation, were transferred to the on-duty magistrate's court with a request for judicial control conditions to be applied.
22 PEOPLE, INCLUDING MAYORS, WERE ARRESTED
After their defenses were taken again at the on-duty magistrate's court, Büyükçekmece Mayor Hasan Akgün, Büyükçekmece Deputy Mayor Ömer Kazancı, Avcılar Deputy Mayor Mehmet Mandacı, Büyükçekmece Deputy Mayor Rıza Can Özdemir, former CHP Member of Parliament Aykut Erdoğdu, İBB Ağaç A.Ş. General Manager Ali Sukas, Beylikdüzü Deputy Mayor Veysel Erçevik, and İsmet Abacı, the father of Beşiktaş Deputy Mayor Alican Abacı, were arrested. Additionally, Gaziosmanpaşa Mayor Hakan Bahçetepe, Avcılar Mayor Utku Caner Çaykara, Avcılar Deputy Mayor Erhan Daka, Seyhan Mayor Oya Tekin and his wife Celal Tekin, Ceyhan Mayor Kadir Aydar, İBB Deputy Secretary General Erdal Celal Aksoy, ISFALT General Manager Burak Korzay, advisor to MP Özgür Karabat, Sırrı Küçük, CHP PM Member Baki Aydöner, businessmen Ebubekir Akın and Yusuf Yadoğlu, coordinator Özer Ayık, and worker Fikret Demir were arrested.
RELEASED UNDER JUDICIAL CONTROL CONDITIONS
Beylikdüzü Mayor's assistant Gürkan Polat, Büyükçekmece Municipality employee Halil Satı, Beşiktaş Municipality trainers Görkem Kızılayak and Şazime Sena Çelik, Beşiktaş Deputy Mayor Ozan İş, and the officials of the companies mentioned in the investigation, Hakan Ateş, contractors Caner Vural, Fahri Aksoy, Fatih Yadoğlu, businessmen Gürkan Dölekli, Bektaş Yıldız, Songül Demir, Can Zafer Yamam, and İsmail Yalçın were released under judicial control conditions.
