Among those granted release is Selinay Uzuntel, a student from Istanbul University who spoke in Saraçhane. It is worth noting that a release decision was also made for 102 young people yesterday.

COURT'S DECISION

The court's decision stated that "the nature and characteristics of the crime, the minimum and maximum limits of the penalty specified in the law, the fact that it does not fall under the catalog crimes mentioned in Article 100 of the CMK, the current evidence situation, the duration of detention of the defendants, some of whom are students, the possibility of disruption in their education processes, the fact that the defendants have fixed residences and there are no suspicions of flight, and the release decisions given for defendants in the same legal situation by other courts regarding the same crime, as well as the consideration that the defendants have the right to a fair trial as stated in Article 36 of the Turkish Constitution," were taken into account in the release decision.
