"Snow day for schools in Edirne and Kırklareli."

Classes have been suspended for one day in the Uzunköprü district of Edirne and the Kofçaz district of Kırklareli due to snowfall.

In all schools in the Uzunköprü district of Edirne, and in schools providing transportation education in the city center and other districts, classes have been suspended today due to snowfall. In the Kofçaz district of Kırklareli, transportation education has also been suspended for one day due to heavy snowfall.

In a statement from the governorship, it was noted that due to adverse weather conditions and snowfall across the province, the risk of ice formation on the roads could endanger transportation, and therefore precautions need to be taken.

In this context, it was reported that classes have been suspended today in all schools in the Uzunköprü district and in schools providing transportation education in the city center and other districts due to snowfall.

FIGHTING SNOW CONTINUES

The statement expressed that all teams are on duty against the snowfall. It was emphasized that the snowfall continues intensely in the districts of İpsala, Enez, Keşan, Meriç, and Uzunköprü, and the following was recorded:

"Our Provincial Special Administration and Highway teams are continuously carrying out salting and road opening works, and there are currently no closed village roads. Our police and gendarmerie traffic units are on duty to ensure safety on the roads. We have important warnings for drivers: be prepared with essential equipment such as winter tires, chains, towing ropes, and chocks. We kindly request that drivers without snow tires park their vehicles at the nearest gas station and wait for the snowfall to decrease."

SCHOOL HOLIDAY IN KIRKLARELI

In a statement from the governorship, it was reported that transportation education in the Kofçaz district has been suspended today due to heavy snowfall, adverse weather conditions, and potential disruptions in transportation.

The statement also noted that disabled and pregnant personnel working in public institutions and organizations will also be considered on administrative leave for one day.
