Despite it being near the end of April, snowfall continues on Mount Ilgar on the Ardahan-Posof highway.
Although it is the end of April, intermittent snowfall continues to adversely affect daily life.
Especially on the Ardahan-Posof highway at the 2550-meter-high Ilgar Mountain pass, the snow depth has reached remarkable levels. The accumulated snow in some areas has exceeded the height of roadside traffic signs, revealing the struggle against nature.
"SNOW DEPTH EXCEEDS SIGN HEIGHT"
Ufuk Işık, a driver traveling from Ardahan to the Posof district, said, "Even though we are at the end of April, snowfall continues to be effective. As you can see, the snow depth has even exceeded the height of the sign. The road is currently not closed, but conditions here can become difficult at any moment."
While citizens and drivers using the Ardahan-Posof highway experience challenging moments, teams are working tirelessly to keep the road open.
