Light snowfall and fog are affecting Bolu Mountain, one of Turkey's most important transit routes. Due to the fog, visibility has dropped to 20 meters.
Following the warnings from the meteorology, light snowfall has begun on the D-100 highway, which is the most important transit point in Turkey, at the Bolu Mountain area on the Düzce-Bolu provincial border.
THE ROADSIDE TURNED WHITE
Due to the snowfall, there are areas where snow accumulation has started on the roadside, while fog has also increased its effect. Visibility has dropped to 20 meters due to the fog. Police teams taking precautions along the Bolu Mountain route have advised drivers to be careful against snowfall and foggy weather, and to adhere to following distance and speed rules. The highway teams have also increased their precautions along the route.
