A new development has occurred in the investigation initiated by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office regarding Taylan Özgüç Danyıldız, known to the public by the nickname "Testo Taylan".
HE WAS RELEASED
Danyıldız, who was arrested for allegedly sharing derogatory and obscene content towards women and for the crime of 'inciting hatred and hostility among the public', has been released.
HE MADE HIS FIRST POST
After his release from prison, Danyıldız made a post on his social media account. Sharing a frame from a parody version adapted from a cartoon, Danyıldız wrote, "You won't die before what you condemn happens to you."
IT WAS ALLEGED THAT IT CONTAINED OBSCENE CONTENT
Within the scope of the investigation, it was claimed that these behaviors were presented as ordinary and acceptable actions in society, posing a risk of creating a perception that normalizes the humiliation of women and harassment towards women. Furthermore, it was suggested that some content included images and behaviors of an obscene nature, which could undermine public morality, and that these posts were disseminated to large audiences through social media platforms.
