Some teams had objected! The foreign player rule in the Super League has been clarified.

TFF announced the foreign player rule that will be implemented in the 2023-2024 season in the Super League.

Trabzonspor President Ertuğrul Doğan, who participated in a live broadcast, said about the topic that everyone was eagerly waiting for, "Besiktas and Galatasaray also had a request to increase the number of foreign players. The Turkish Football Federation rejected this request," he said.

TFF'S FIRST RULE WAS 14 TO 12

In the announcement made by the TFF in July, it was stated that changes were decided to be made in the eligibility of players in professional leagues in the meeting of the TFF Board of Directors today:

• In the Trendyol Super League, the number of players in the A Team list was increased from 26 to 28, and the possibility of including 14 players who are not eligible to play for the Turkish National Team in the A Team list was provided. It was decided to continue the practice of including 12 of these players in the match name list.

• In the Trendyol 1st League, the number of players who are not eligible to play for the Turkish National Team and will be included in the A Team list was determined as 8. It was made possible for a maximum of 6 of these players to be on the field at the same time in the continuing squad for the match.

• It was decided that the player eligibility rules applied in the TFF 2 and TFF 3rd Leagues will continue in the same way this season by making age adjustments.
