Şükreden Gıda, known by the brand "Balkos," has entered into a concordat process due to financial difficulties. The court granted the company a one-year definitive period and appointed a two-person commissioner board to oversee the company.

One of Turkey's most well-known paper wafer manufacturers, Şükreden Gıda, declared concordat due to a financial crisis. The company, recognized for its paper wafers and confectionery products that are heavily consumed by children, had been a pioneer in the industry for many years under the "Balkos" brand.

Following the concordat application made for the company, the Istanbul Anadolu 1st Commercial Court of First Instance confirmed the previously granted temporary measures and provided the company with a one-year bankruptcy protection.

COMMISSIONER COMMITTEE APPOINTED

The court ruled for the appointment of a two-person concordat commissioner committee to closely monitor the company's financial structure. This committee will examine the company's activities and financial planning for one year.

According to the court's decision, a final report will be prepared and submitted to the court regarding the company before the critical hearing to be held one year later.

PRODUCING SINCE THE 1980s

According to information on the company's website, Şükreden Gıda started producing paper wafers in the 1980s. Over time, the company expanded its product range and continued its production activities with products such as croquant, Turkish delight, and bar-type snacks.
