Ali Palabıyık, a former Super League referee who is one of the 42 individuals referred to the PFDK on allegations of betting, responded to the claims during a program he participated in. Stating that he learned about the accusations while in America, Palabıyık denied the allegations, saying, "I have never bet at any point in my life, I have never registered on any site, and I have never provided any information related to matches to anyone I know." Palabıyık mentioned that he has been in America for 4 months and that he will return to Turkey as soon as possible.
Former Super League referee Ali Palabıyık, who was referred to the Professional Football Discipline Board (PFDK), strongly denied allegations that he placed bets. Palabıyık emphasized that the accusations are baseless, stating, "I have never placed a bet in my life, I have no membership on any site," and described the process as "a staged operation."
RESPONDED TO THE ALLEGATIONS
Super League referee Ali Palabıyık, who was referred to the Professional Football Discipline Board (PFDK) for allegedly betting on football in the last 5 years, reacted to the allegations. In a statement to Now Sports, Palabıyık stated that he has never placed a bet at any point in his life and has not been a member of any betting site.

Palabıyık said, "I have been in America for about 4 months. I learned about the news through messages sent by my friends. I will return to Turkey at the first opportunity."
"THROWING MUD TO LEAVE A TRACE"
Palabıyık, who blew the whistle for the last time in 2023, emphasized that a similar attempt in 2022 was unsuccessful, stating, "They tried in 2022. They were not successful. Even after I left, they continue to throw mud. I have never placed a bet in my life. I have not provided any information regarding matches to any of my acquaintances."
POINTED TO MHK PRESIDENT IN HIS REFERRAL TO PFDK
Ali Palabıyık pointed to the President of the Central Refereeing Committee (MHK), Ferhat Gündoğdu, during the process of being referred to the PFDK, stating, "Ferhat Gündoğdu is still at the head of the operation. He was not successful the first time. He came again and unjustly removed many of my referee friends from their duties and continues to do so."
