The fees allegedly paid to artists at the public concerts held in Ankara have been widely discussed. Regarding the issue, Ankara Metropolitan Mayor Mansur Yavaş stated, "It is clear that the figures mentioned are not as claimed in the attempted perception operation."

The claim that the Ankara Metropolitan Municipality organized a concert by Ebru Gündeş worth 69 million lira on October 29 and paid millions of lira to other artists has been a hot topic for days.

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, while returning to the country from Hungary, stated regarding the payments made to artists in Ankara, "This situation is a concrete indication of how resources that should be turned into service for the nation are being squandered recklessly. Municipalities that do not pay their debts to the public are organizing million-lira entertainments," he said.
