The Syrian army announced that the humanitarian corridor on the M15 highway for the evacuation of civilians in the Deir Hafir region will remain open until 5:00 PM today, while it was stated that the terrorist organization is making moves to obstruct the evacuations. Meanwhile, footage from the region showed a convoy of armored vehicles belonging to the U.S. army advancing towards the Deir Hafir area occupied by the terrorist organization PKK/SDF.
The humanitarian corridor established by the Syrian army for the temporary evacuation of civilians in the Deir Hafir region will remain open today until the possible operation is completed.
THE HUMANITARIAN CORRIDOR WILL REMAIN OPEN TODAY
The army announced that the humanitarian corridor on the M15 highway, which connects the Deir Hafir region to Aleppo, will remain open for civilians to pass until 5:00 PM local time today.
THEY ARE TRYING TO PREVENT THE EVACUATION OF CIVILIANS
On the other hand, it was reported that the terrorist organization YPG/SDG continues to prevent the temporary evacuation of civilians from Deir Hafir, which it occupies, just as it did yesterday. In a written statement from the Deir Hafir District Administration, it was expressed that the terrorist organization continues to obstruct the exit of civilians from Deir Hafir and its surroundings through the humanitarian corridor.
US CONVOY SPOTTED IN THE REGION
Meanwhile, while the evacuation of civilians continues despite the obstructions, a convoy of armored vehicles belonging to the US army was spotted advancing towards the Deir Hafir region, which is occupied by the terrorist organization PKK/SDG.
WHAT HAPPENED?
The Syrian army had declared the occupied areas west of the Euphrates River as a military zone on January 13 due to the terrorist organization's buildup in the region and its attacks on Aleppo using kamikaze drones (UAVs), requesting all armed elements to withdraw to the east of the Euphrates.
The army had opened a humanitarian corridor on the M15 highway for the temporary evacuation of civilians in the occupied Deir Hafir and its surroundings until the possible operation is completed yesterday morning. The terrorist organization had blocked many areas of the M15 highway, which is the main route connecting the Deir Hafir region to Aleppo, with concrete blocks to prevent the evacuation of civilians.
Due to the closure of the humanitarian corridor by the terrorist organization, thousands of civilians, including many women, children, and the elderly, were forced to turn to different routes to leave the area.
