Hamas Spokesperson Hazem Qassem reiterated Hamas's determination to achieve lasting peace in the Gaza Strip, stating, "We enter the Palestinian national dialogue with open hands and an open heart to all Palestinian forces. It is time for national reconciliation, it is time to prioritize national interests."

Hamas made a new statement regarding the ceasefire process with Israel and the establishment of lasting peace in the Gaza Strip. Hamas Spokesperson Hazem Qassem reaffirmed their commitment to adhere to the agreement. The statement said, "Hamas is extremely eager for the agreement to succeed and to be implemented on the ground."

"THE WAR HAS DE FACTO ENDED"

Qassem stated that they received clear guarantees from Egypt, Qatar, and Turkey, which mediated the talks with Israel, as well as direct confirmations from the United States, conveying that the war has effectively ended. The statement noted that the implementation of the peace agreement's conditions would also represent the end of the war.

US RESPONSE TO THE ANNEXATION OF THE WEST BANK WAS PRAISED

Hamas Spokesperson Qassem also praised US President Donald Trump's statements regarding the decision to annex the West Bank taken by the Israeli parliament. Hazem Qassem characterized the President's statements as favorable to the peace agreement and interpreted the US's rejection of the annexation as "positive."

"IT IS TIME TO PRIORITIZE NATIONAL INTERESTS"

Hamas Spokesperson emphasized that the resolution of all issues related to the governance of Gaza after the war depends on Palestinian national consensus, highlighting that the Palestinian Authority is "one of the Palestinian structures that cannot be ignored." Qassem stated, "We enter the Palestinian national dialogue with open hands and an open heart to all Palestinian forces. It is time for national reconciliation, it is time to prioritize national interests over narrow partisan interests."

"THE CURRENT STAGE IS DANGEROUS NOT ONLY FOR HAMAS BUT FOR ALL PALESTINIAN PEOPLE"

Hazem Qassem indicated that the current stage is dangerous "not only for Hamas but for all Palestinian people in Gaza and the West Bank," expressing that this situation necessitates cooperation to face challenges. The Hamas official also recalled that the first phase of the agreement, which involves the handover of Israeli dead and live hostages, has been completed, and efforts are ongoing for the delivery of the remaining bodies.

CALL FOR PRESSURE ON ISRAEL

Qassem also called for pressure to be applied on Israel to fulfill its obligations under the agreement. The statement emphasized that Israel must end its attacks on the region, lift the blockade on the Gaza Strip, and allow the entry of urgent and sufficient humanitarian aid and food into the region.

Hamas Spokesperson also noted that since the ceasefire came into effect, Israel has committed numerous violations. The spokesperson reported that Israel is responsible for the deaths of approximately 90 Palestinians, the closure of the Rafah Border Crossing between Egypt and the Gaza Strip, and the obstruction of sufficient aid entering the region. The Hamas Spokesperson stated, "Israel's statements are one thing, the reality on the ground is completely different."

Qassem warned that Israel could use humanitarian aid activities for political blackmail, stating, "Serious steps need to be taken to prevent the reoccurrence of the starvation policies implemented during the long years of occupation and blockade."
