Fatih Erbakan, Chairman of the Yeniden Refah Party, visited Mustafa Destici, Chairman of the Great Unity Party (BBP). Following the meeting at the BBP headquarters, Erbakan and Destici held a joint press conference, evaluating current political developments, the election process, and constitutional amendments.

Erbakan visited Destici, who lost his brother and was re-elected as chairman at the 13th Ordinary Grand Congress, at the BBP Headquarters to offer condolences and congratulations. After the closed-door meeting, Erbakan and Destici held a joint press conference.

CURRENT POLITICAL ISSUES DISCUSSED

Erbakan thanked Destici for his hospitality during the visit, stating they conveyed their condolences for his brother's passing and offered their best wishes for his re-election as chairman at the congress.

Erbakan noted that they evaluated current political developments during the meeting and exchanged views on the timeline for upcoming elections and possible constitutional changes.

"WE TAKE ERBAKAN AND YAZICIOĞLU AS MODELS"

Destici thanked Fatih Erbakan and the accompanying delegation for their visit, recalling that the Great Unity Party has maintained close ties with the National Vision community and its successor political parties since its establishment.

Destici emphasized that both parties strive for the peace, security, and tranquility of Turkey, the Turkish nation, and the Turkish-Islamic world, stating that in this regard, they take the late Prime Minister Necmettin Erbakan and BBP Founding Chairman Muhsin Yazıcıoğlu as models.

ASSESSMENT ON TEACHERS AND MINERS

In response to a journalist's question about "the detentions during a teachers' protest in Ankara and the miners' actions," Fatih Erbakan stated that they stand with teachers and miners in their pursuit of rights and that their demands should be met within available means.

Destici expressed that equalizing the rights of teachers working in private schools with those of public school teachers through legal regulations could resolve grievances. He stressed that the non-payment of miners' salaries is unacceptable and that the state must take necessary steps in this regard.
