In the holy city of Mecca, within the area surrounding the Kaaba in the Masjid al-Haram, a person attempting to jump from the upper level was saved by the intervention of a security officer. Both the officer, who acted as a shield, and the individual attempting suicide were injured and taken to the hospital. Following the incident, security measures in the area were increased, and visitors to the sanctuary were urged to adhere to the rules.

HE MADE HIMSELF A SHIELD
In the incident captured on camera, Reyyan Asiri, a security officer, quickly reacted upon noticing a person heading towards the railing on the upper floor attempting to jump. Asiri rushed towards the spot where the man was about to fall, effectively using himself as a shield to prevent the man from dying.
BOTH IN HOSPITAL
Both the injured security personnel and the jumper were transported to the hospital by medical teams. It was reported that the officer had fractures in his body.
Following the incident, a statement from the Mecca Emirate indicated that the special security units at Masjid al-Haram responded immediately to the situation, security measures in the area were increased, and the safety of worshippers was ensured.
CALL FROM THE CHIEF IMAM
The Chief Imam of Masjid al-Haram, Abdurrahman as-Sudais, called on visitors to adhere to the rules and focus on worship, emphasizing that the preservation of life is one of the fundamental principles of Islam.
