AK Party Istanbul Deputy Süleyman Soylu, in his speech at the Trabzon Şalpazarı Dorukkiriş Village Association, stated, "We need Recep Tayyip Erdoğan more than ever. Why do I say this? They are taking us away from ourselves. They are trying to take our children away from us. They are trying to destroy our families."
Former Interior Minister and AK Party Istanbul Deputy Süleyman Soylu made striking statements at the Trabzon Şalpazarı Dorukkiriş Villagers Association. Soylu argued that Turkey is facing internal and external threats, stating that there is a "greater need than ever" for the leadership of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
"THEY ARE TRYING TO DESTROY OUR FAMILIES"
In his speech, Soylu expressed that the values of society are being targeted, saying, "They are taking us away from ourselves. They are trying to take our children away from us. They are trying to destroy our families. They are individualizing us through televisions and social media. They are trying to eliminate our large households, our values, our neighborliness, and our verses."
"THEY WANT THEM NOT TO KNOW HOW TO PRAY"
Soylu, asserting that cultural and religious ties are also being targeted, said, "They want them not to know their parents' graves, not to know how to say the takbir, not to know how to pray. They want their bodies not to tremble when the National Anthem is recited."
