The Chairwoman of the KADEM Board of Trustees, Sümeyye Erdoğan Bayraktar, welcomed the activists from the Global Sumud Fleet, who were attacked and detained by Israel in international waters, at Istanbul Airport. In her statement, Bayraktar said, "It is such a great oppression, such a great injustice, and it has been going on for so long that, as you said, people really no longer accept it in any way."
The plane carrying 137 activists, 36 of whom are Turkish, from the Global Sumud Fleet, which was attacked and detained by Israel in international waters, landed at Istanbul Airport.

Speaking here, Bayraktar stated, "It's such a great cruelty, such a great injustice, and it has been going on for so long that really, as you said, people do not accept it anymore."

Bayraktar also said, "We do not get used to this, we do not normalize it. And we should not. We must never forget. Israel is probably very scared. And they will likely spend their lives in fear because of the cruelty they have committed. But Gazans and Palestinians will never be afraid. They will live proudly and courageously throughout their lives. We pray. Hopefully, we will see better days."
