The Great Unity Party (BBP) published a written statement following the Presidential Board meeting on July 16. The statement noted that the decision of the terrorist organization PKK to lay down arms and dissolve itself is being closely monitored, while emphasizing that the party is taking a "cautious and prudent" approach to the process.

The party stated that an important stage has been reached in Turkey's fight against terrorism, which has lasted over 40 years, and that the PKK's disarmament process has occurred thanks to the state's determination. However, BBP also warned that this development carries the risk of "different paths continuing the plans for the fragmentation of Turkey."

"ALL ELEMENTS MUST BE ELIMINATED"

The statement indicated that not only in Turkey but also in Iraq, Syria, Iran, and Europe, all extensions of the PKK, along with related structures such as KCK, PYD, and PJAK, must be completely eliminated. The party also drew attention to the terrorist organization's connections with illegal activities such as drug trafficking, organ trade, and arms smuggling.

CALL FOR 'FLAG' AND 'NATIONAL ANTHEM' TO DEM PARTY

BBP argued that the legitimacy of the DEM Party in Turkish politics can only be possible through the elimination of the terrorist organization in all geographies. The party called on the DEM Party to "hang the Turkish flag in all provincial and district buildings" and to "recite the National Anthem at party events."

"WE ARE AGAINST AMNESTY UNDER ANY NAME OR FORM"

BBP stated that they are absolutely against the release of Öcalan or a general amnesty for terrorists, emphasizing that such steps would not resonate with the public conscience. The statement said, "We are against amnesty under any name or form."

PROPOSAL TO ESTABLISH A COMMISSION IN THE GRAND NATIONAL ASSEMBLY

The statement criticized the proposals from the DEM Party and some opposition parties regarding the establishment of specialized commissions in the Grand National Assembly, arguing that such initiatives carry the "risk of ethnic-based division." BBP warned that a commission with a permanent and legal basis could "undermine the unitary structure."

STRONG REACTION TO ISRAEL

The BBP statement also addressed foreign policy. Israel's airstrikes against Syria were condemned, and the Tel Aviv administration was described as a "terror state" and a "threat to humanity." Attention was drawn to the contradictory stance of the USA regarding these attacks, with the comment, "A policy of running away from the rabbit and chasing the hare."
