Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, in a statement made in New York during the unofficial Cyprus talks, strongly condemned Israel's attacks on Syria.

"EVERYONE MUST SAY STOP TO ISRAEL"

Fidan stated that Israel must abandon its policies that threaten stability, saying, "Israel must abandon destabilizing policies while there is still time; this is a very dangerous situation not only for the region but also for Israel. Everyone, especially the USA, the European Union, and regional countries, must say stop to Israel. Otherwise, it is possible to say that unwanted results will emerge in the region," he expressed.

CLEAR WARNING TO YPG: OPPORTUNISM BRINGS GREAT RISK

Minister Fidan also mentioned that they have received intelligence regarding the increasing activity of the terrorist organization YPG in the region. In this context, Fidan issued a striking warning to the YPG, stating, "There are also reports that the YPG is engaged in some movements. Our message to them is: Be careful! They should not take advantage of the chaos here and engage in an unwanted situation. They should not make the existing critical and sensitive process even more problematic in Syria. They should play a stable and constructive role. Otherwise, opportunism brings great risk," he said.

CLASHES IN SUEIDA AND ISRAEL'S LATEST ATTACKS

On July 13, clashes began between Bedouin Arab tribes and Druze armed groups in the province of Suwayda, located in southern Syria. As tensions escalated rapidly, dozens of soldiers lost their lives in attacks on Syrian security forces deployed to the region. Although a ceasefire was established between the parties, it quickly broke down. Following these developments, the Israeli army also intervened. Israel carried out attacks targeting Syrian security forces.

Most recently, it was reported that Israeli air forces targeted the Presidential Complex, the General Staff, and the Ministry of Defense in Damascus. Airstrikes were also conducted against the Daraa region.

While a ceasefire was re-established between the government and local groups in Suwayda, it is estimated that hundreds of people have lost their lives in Israel's attacks and internal conflicts.
