Support for Kılıçdaroğlu from 10 CHP MPs

The former CHP (Republican People's Party) leader Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu's willingness to return as a trustee in the party's congress case has sparked internal discussions within the party. As Kılıçdaroğlu faced intense criticism, 10 CHP lawmakers shared messages of support for him. The lawmakers emphasized Kılıçdaroğlu's contributions and values to the party, stating that expressions that are not in line with ethics are unacceptable.

The claim that a decision of "absolute nullity," meaning "complete invalidity," could be made in the CHP's convention trial to be held on June 30 has created a stir within the party's circles. Kılıçdaroğlu's willingness to return to the party leadership has turned into an internal party debate, with mutual statements coming from General Chairman Özgür Özel and Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu. Former General Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu stated that he would return to the administration if the court issues a decision of "absolute nullity." He said, "If I do not accept the position, there is a risk of a trustee." General Chairman Özgür Özel reacted to Kılıçdaroğlu by saying, "Accepting the position would be a historical mistake."

10 MPs SUPPORT KILIÇDAROĞLU

10 CHP MPs made consecutive statements of support for Kılıçdaroğlu on their X accounts last night. Among the MPs sharing support messages for Kılıçdaroğlu were İzmir MP Mahir Polat, İzmir MP Sevda Erdan Kılıç, İzmir MP Rıfat Nalbantoğlu, Ankara MP Deniz Demir, Kahramanmaraş MP Ali Öztunç, Istanbul MP Gamze Akkuş İlgezdi, Gaziantep MP Hasan Öztürkmen, Bursa MP Orhan Sarıbal, Mersin MP Hasan Ufuk Çakır, and Aydın MP Hüseyin Yıldız.

"WE RECOGNIZE THE TROLL ATTACK, THEY ARE USING UNETHICAL SENTENCES"

Ali Öztunç, in his message regarding the issue, stated, "We know the perpetrators of this troll attack, which is clearly directed from a certain source. These are the ones who used to stand at Kemal's door, bowing, and have come to various positions. Unfortunately, today they are using sentences that are not compatible with CHP culture and ethics. Know that if we are silent, it is due to our politeness and party loyalty. However, we have a lot to say. I invite everyone once again to behave in a manner befitting the party culture," he said.

"SILENCE IS TO BE AN ACCOMPLICE TO FITNA"

Gamze Akkuş İlgezdi stated, "CHP is not a party that will be surrendered to anyone's greed, ambition, or political games," and continued her words by saying, "Our organization, our mayors, and our MPs should not turn a blind eye to this decay. I would like to remind you that silence is submission. Silence is to be an accomplice to this fitna. We are a party that grows with the will of the people, not with agendas set by trolls, paid writers, and commissioned headlines."

"UNETHICAL ATTACKS ARE NEVER ACCEPTABLE"

Hüseyin Yıldız stated, "The Republican People's Party is not a space to satisfy anyone's personal ambitions! The unmeasured, unethical attacks against Mr. Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, who has dedicated years to the position of General Chairman and has kept our party standing on an honorable line, are absolutely unacceptable."

"HE WILL BE DROWNED IN THE SANCTITY OF OUR PARTY"

Mahir Polat wrote the following regarding Kılıçdaroğlu:

"The honorable walk of the nation means the conscience of the orphan. Saying Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu means making the Republican People's Party, which could not go beyond Sivas, a party that has the consensus of the entire nation. It means being able to shield oneself against the bullets of terrorist organizations, walking without bowing to lynchings, assassinations, and death. Saying Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu means making the longest justice march in the world for the right and the people. Those who attack our 7th General Chairman without knowing the party culture and the conscience of my nation will surely drown in the sanctity of our party."

"WE CANNOT FIND UNITY BY DENYING OUR PAST"

Sevda Erdan Kılıç criticized the "treatment" directed at Kılıçdaroğlu, pointing to the CHP's deep-rooted traditions, stating, "The unity of our party is essential for the future of Turkey. However, this unity cannot be achieved by denying our past and belittling our leaders who have worked hard. On the contrary, it can only be possible with an understanding that knows its own values, defends these values, and carries them forward."

"COMMITMENT TO PARTY TRADITIONS."

Rıfat Nalbantoğlu stated, "The statements made by some of our party members against our previous General Chairman in a manner contrary to our party traditions, culture, and rules of decency serve no purpose other than deepening the problems our party is facing today. Party integrity can only be achieved by adhering to party traditions."

"EVERY SLANDER AIMED AT KILIÇDAROĞLU."

Ankara MP Deniz Demir stated, "Let it not be forgotten: Every slander directed at Kılıçdaroğlu is an attack on the values, past, and future of this party. And we are determined to defend these values to the end. As the conscientious soldiers of the Republican People's Party, we will not remain silent in the face of this ugly language and these low-level campaigns."

"POLITICS CANNOT BE DONE WITH THE MOUTH OF SOCIAL MEDIA TROLLS"

CHP Bursa MP Orhan Sarıbal expressed his support for Kılıçdaroğlu with the following statements:

"Those who betray their past cannot build their future!

CHP is neither a party of those who forget their oath nor of those who consider disloyalty a virtue. This party was founded not by pushing each other but by walking shoulder to shoulder. It was shaped by struggle and grew with loyalty.

What is happening today is an assassination against the memory of over 100 years of CHP. Politics cannot be done with fabricated perceptions and the mouth of social media trolls.

The low-level attacks directed at our former General Chairman Mr. Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu today are aimed at the hope of millions seeking justice, the accumulation of decades, and our history of struggle.

The words of someone who insults the one they called 'My Chairman' yesterday and does so the next day will rot, just like their politics. Those who insult the leader who has carried the burden of this party for 13 years have lost not only respect but also politics.

Loyalty is a virtue in our party. And whoever attacks that virtue, no matter what position they hold, has strayed from their path. CHP is not a place for personal shows, chair ambitions, or cheap heroism. The aim of those who slander those they walked shoulder to shoulder with yesterday is neither the party nor the people; it is only themselves.

However, Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu kept CHP standing against the pressure of the Palace, the blockade of the media, and the fear created on the streets. He wrote the Justice March together with millions. Those who forget those steps today, what will they base their politics on tomorrow? Who ensured the success of the 2019 local elections?

Those who are silent today will disappear tomorrow. Those who bend today will not be able to straighten up again tomorrow. Those who cannot show loyalty in politics can never be a hope for the people.

We lean not on lies but on struggle. We do politics not with discord but with faith.

We will never leave the voice of conscience, which is the voice of honesty and honor, alone.

CHP Mersin MP Hasan Ufuk Çakır used the following statements:

"We are closely and anxiously following the inappropriate statements directed at Mr. Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu in recent days.

These statements, which exceed the limits of criticism and turn into attacks on personal rights and human values, are not in line with the spirit of democratic politics.

Mr. Kılıçdaroğlu has been a leader who has directed the struggle for equality, justice, and peace in this country for years. His stance represents not just an individual but a common ideal.

For this reason, every unjust accusation made is considered an attack on these principles and this journey.

We do not find this language or this method to be appropriate.

CHP Gaziantep Deputy Hasan Öztürkmen expressed his support for the former chairman with the following words:
