Israel, which signed a ceasefire with Iran days ago, conducted airstrikes in the Nabatiye region of southern Lebanon. While it is unknown whether there were any casualties from the attacks that caused severe explosions, the Israeli army claimed that Hezbollah targets were hit.

The Israeli army targeted a building located in the town of Hula, in the southern Lebanese province of Nabatiye, which is claimed to be used by Hezbollah for military purposes.

IT WAS USED AS AN INTELLIGENCE CENTER

Details of the attack were announced through a statement made on the Israeli army's X (formerly Twitter) account. The statement claimed that the building was used by Hezbollah for various military purposes, including intelligence gathering activities against Israeli forces, stating, "These terrorist activities are a clear violation of the agreements between Israel and Lebanon."

The Israeli army's post, which also included bombing footage, noted that the bombed building was the residence of Hezbollah member Ahmed Gazi Ali, who was killed in the same region last week.

It was alleged that Ahmed Gazi Ali was neutralized while he was working to re-establish Hezbollah's military infrastructure in the area.

ISRAEL CONTINUES BOMBING DESPITE CEASEFIRE

Despite the ceasefire that came into effect on November 27, 2024, the Israeli army's air and ground attacks on southern Lebanon continue almost daily.

Since the ceasefire came into effect, Israel has committed approximately 3,000 violations, resulting in at least 213 deaths and 508 injuries during this period.

Although the Israeli army has conducted a partial withdrawal from southern Lebanon, it continues to occupy 5 strategic hills it captured in the recent conflicts.

WHAT HAPPENED?

Israel transformed its attacks on Lebanon, which began on October 8, 2023, into a comprehensive war on September 23, 2024. During this process, more than 4,000 people lost their lives, and approximately 17,000 were injured.
