The words of Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mansur Yavaş regarding the Nowruz celebrations drew a strong reaction from the DEM Party side, while support was shared from Gülçin Santırcıoğlu for "Yalı Çapkını."
Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mansur Yavaş made headlines with his speech at the rally held in front of the İBB headquarters in Saraçhane to support İBB President Ekrem İmamoğlu.
WHAT DID MANSUR YAVAŞ SAY?
Yavaş, referring to the Nevruz celebrations in Şırnak, said, "Yesterday, while flags that I consider rags were being waved somewhere in the East, I do not find it right that the police were handing out cotton candy to those going to that rally. We expect the security forces to also offer cotton candy to the young people here."
ATTENTION-GRABBING STATEMENT FROM ÖZGÜR ÖZEL
These words created a significant reaction on social media, and Yavaş's 'rag' statement was also questioned by Özgür Özel. Özel responded to this question by saying, "The party's message on this issue is the message you heard from the mouth of the chairman."
SUPPORT FROM A FAMOUS NAME
While the echoes of Yavaş's words continue, support came from İfakat of Yalı Çapkını. Gülçin Santırcıoğlu expressed her reaction on social media, saying, "A rag is called a rag. A baby killer cannot be legitimized."
